Jon’s Family and friends:
Sunday has been overall a good day with more responsiveness than we have seen in the past two days. His overall condition continues to improve to the point that he is now officially on the schedule for surgery 8AM Monday. Proposed is the treatment for his jaw fractures. We learned from he Pulmonary Specialty Team that all is going well for the lung but with a slow recovery foreseen. He may be well enough to be returned to a regular hospital bed by Wednesday, if all continues well. He remains without a fever. A search for a source of his pulmonary emboli failed to disclose anything in the large veins. He will nevertheless require anticoagulation therapy for the next three to six months. Nothing seems easy, does it ?A date for repairing his arm fractures is not yet been determined. It is one day at a time.
Jon had many visitors today who reminded him of his fantasy football picks. Well wished from his daughters were played over an iphone. No flowers are allowed but well wishing cards have appeared on his wall.
Tomorrow he will be away from his room for much of the morning into the afternoon. His sister, Kristin, and cousin, Stacey, are expected to arrive to stay with him on Tuesday of this week. All of your well wishes have been passed on and will continue to be passed along to him..
It was a good day.
